Bought these to replace an aging pair of old wellies as they looked similar - and they are great. The rubber seems reasonably thick, so hopefully won't pierce or split easily, but it also means that they stand-up well (I hate it when the top of wellies flop over!) They are slightly tighter around the calf than my old wellies, but that's actually quite good and there is still enough room to tuck in a pair of jeans. So great wellington boots - especially for the money.
