New born chicks must be kept warm at all times, as they cannot regulate their temperature until they are around 11 weeks old. A simple and inexpensive way to do this is with a heat lamp.
We stock high quality chicken heat lamps suitable for all poultry and brooders available in a range of sizes to suit all requirements.
Remember to always monitor your chicks behaviour - if they are huddled together directly under the heat lamp then this indicates they are too cold. If they are all around the edge of the brooder then this indicates the lamp is either too powerful or too close and should be raised up.
