One of the best things about the warmer weather is the opportunity to sit in your back garden, relaxing and watching any wildlife that has come out to make the most of the sunshine.

If you would like to encourage wild birds to your garden this summer, we have put together a few tips that are easy to follow and will help you to watch wildlife from a safe distance so as not to disturb them.

Bird Treats

Leaving out bird treats is a great way to entice them to your garden. Simply hang them from a tree or leave them on a bird table and you will soon see flocks of birds coming to investigate. Be sure to top them up regularly, as they are sure to keep coming back for more!

Bird Feeder and Drinkers

Water can be in short supply for birds in the hotter months, especially if there is a drought that season. It is a great idea to leave water in easily accessible drinkers in your garden, which will certainly encourage birds to visit throughout the summer.

A hanging bird drinker or feeder which is kept topped up will also encourage birds back during the winter, when food and water is a little harder to come by.

Wild Bird Food

Offering birds nutritious and delicious food is a great way to invite birds into your garden space. With many varieties to choose from, such as suet, seeds and insect blocks, birds will flock in their dozens to visit you this summer.
