The Guy Cotten Yellow Isoder Jacket is designed to provide dependable waterproof protection while improving comfort, visibility and freedom of movement in demanding working conditions. Made from supple Glentex fabric, it offers a flexible feel that is well suited to fishing, marine, agricultural and general outdoor use.
The jacket features Guy Cotten’s MAGIC Hood, designed to provide a secure, adjustable fit without restricting peripheral vision. Adjustable side sections and a rear tie help the hood sit comfortably around the face, while also helping prevent water ingress and reducing the chance of the hood being blown back in strong winds. Its generous shape also allows room for a helmet when required.
For added comfort, the Isoder incorporates Guy Cotten’s ISOLATECH system across the shoulders, chest and upper back. This insulating membrane helps reduce condensation by limiting temperature differences between the inside and outside of the jacket, making it more comfortable during prolonged wear.
A front zip protected by a press-stud storm flap helps keep rain and spray out, while adjustable elasticated cuffs provide a closer fit at the wrists.

As a little background I spend a lot of time High Peak as a practitioner of landscape/outdoor photography, hiking roughly 500 miles per year in all weather conditions. I had grown tired of outdoor recreation outlets/companies selling "almost waterproof" jackets as I have come to call them, that claim to be "fully waterproof" but ultimately never are. As such it became clear that I needed to purchase a PPE rated jacket used by professionals who work in wet environments i.e. commercial fishermen. This jacket fits the bill perfectly; first and foremost it is definitely waterproof! Secondly a good range of motion is afforded when tackling scrambles or short climbs as a result of the cut/fit of the jacket. It is has just the right of room underneath for a full set of hiking layers including a thick wool jumper but doesn't create any awkward folds in the material under the shoulder or waist straps of a backpack. The other features I enjoyed about this jacket out on the Peak is it's thermal insulation/protection from the wind and the "magic hood" which was easy to adjust and worked just as described. I should mention the colour too in a hiking context; I feel assured that if I ever needed to be located by Mountain Rescue whilst in distress, I would be easily visible. This product is fully deserving of it's 5 stars.
