work same action as a lipstick :) good bright colours . I have tried to use these to identify kittens all the same colour for keeping records of weights and other things of note . colour staying on for a day or two perhaps another mother might not lick it off so fast :) but a bind I did thick it would last longer but much beter than dangerous collars
