We live in Portugal and brought the blue version of these posts with us 19 years ago and I still have some left - by comparison most of the ones bought here has perished in the sun! I was amazes to find such a good source in Uk who would send them without an extortionate transport cost. Tanner service is second to none!

I bought these shears as recommended by an experienced gardener when I admired his work one day. He uses them to trim his client's box (Buxus Sempervirens) into impeccable shape. I'd been using an electric hedge trimmer on mine to get the job done, but admired his more peaceful and creative method that left room for more delicate choices. Since I noticed birds flying into the box in my garden this spring, I couldn't bring myself to use the electric trimmer and have enjoyed maintaining neat shape with regular trims with my Tanner Trading Kerbl Hand Sheep Shears and a morning cuppa. You might want to have a pair of secateurs with you to tackle the more robust 'branches' for which the shears were not designed. Enjoy!
