At the moment I am using my fence posts around my pond without connecting any electric as I don't want to 'shock' my dogs and I believe that in conjunction with the plastic floating rings I have around the edge of my pond, they will still prevent the heron from walking into the pond and catching my fish. I've only had them positioned for a few days and have not seen the heron since, although it had been a regular daily visitor at the crack of dawn and occasionally later in the day. The posts are well made and very tidy looking, so do not detract from the appearance of my pond. Delivery was excellent, my ordering them on a Thursday afternoon and arriving first thing the following Monday morning. But for the weekend, I am sure they would have been delivered within the two days specified.I Have not had the rings long enough to rate them more than 4 star and one of the rings (out of 15 in total), had one of its a lug broken off in packaging, but I didn't return the damaged one as there are several lugs on each post so it can still be used.
